Healthcare at the Department of Computer Science

The University of Helsinki provides its staff with preventive occupational health services and general medical care (with contracts 14 hours/ week at least).
The occupational healthcare service for the department is provided in Mehiläinen Ympyrätalo (the round house) in Hakaniemi. Healthcare is available for university employees at 8-20 on Mon-Fri. In acute cases, you can seek medical care in any Mehiläinen in Helsinki, Espoo or Vantaa. There is a nurse's reception two half days a month in Exactum, first floor, D block.

Accidents in the workplace

The insurance company that insures university employees against accidents in the workplace is called IF Vahinkovakuutusyhtiö Oy. You can apply for recompense for accidents online at IF Yrityskansio together with the accidents liaison at the department. The accidents liaison at the department is Tiina Väisänen (office D243, phone 51390).
