The advantages and need of IPv6 lead to faster deployment in existing and future network infrastructure. Such demand is growing strong especially in Europe and Asia where the drastic increase of smartphones, IP connected sensing devices, and new broadband subscribers are pleading for a sufficient address space. To guarantee a smooth transition from IPv4 to IPv6, numerous proposals are contributed by industry and academia covering protocol and system design. The core tasks of this subject include:

• study existing protocol and system design for smooth IPv4-IPv6 transition 
• participate in investigation and implementation of concrete transitional mechanism 
• assist testing in operational mobile networks
