An enterprise architecture addresses the structure, operation and governance of an enterprise and its computing system from multiple points of view. Especially, it links together business needs and technical solutions. At the technical level, interesting elements include portfolios of services available and communication buses used. However, traditional enterprise architecture frameworks do not support considerations of cross-organisational collaborations - including capturing knowledge about collaborating organisations' service portfolios and interoperability support solutions. 

The purpose of this thesis is to survey service-oriented and/or cross-organisational architecture frameworks and compare them in a critical way.
