The operating system of users.cs.helsinki.fi will finally be updated to newer version of ubuntu (10.04 LTS). Also the new virtual host will be slightly faster. New virtual host will also be using department's new SAN disk server, so disks will be much faster and adding more disk space will be easier.

During the break all home directories and the system's postgres database will be synchronized to the new host. Installed crontabs will be also preserved, so existing startup scripts should bring services up when the new host is rebooted.
