Mathematical Modelling for Computer Networks
2
Networking and Services
Advanced studies
Mathematical methods to model, analyse and design complex computer networks and their protocols have become increasingly important. The course aims to introduce the students to convex optimization and Markov chain techniques that can be used in the modelling and analysis of some fundamental problems in computer networking. Prerequisites: Data Communications or Computer Networks. A basic familiarity with calculus, probability and linear algebra (matrices).
