Instructions for computer science students who have received an ETAPPI letter

If you have received a letter for Etappi checkpoint 2, 3, 4 or 5 from the Helsinki University student services in Spring 2009, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Read the letter carefully along with the appended instructions from the Faculty of Science. If you have to write a study plan in order to register for next academic year, please proceed to section 2. If you do not need to write a study plan in order to register for next year, you can stop reading these instructions now.
  2. If you have received the letter for Etappi checkpoint 2 or 3, please follow the instructions in this section (2). If you have received the letter for Etappi checkpoint 4 or 5, please proceed to section 3.

    All undergraduates who have received the letter for checkpoint 2 or 3 should be receiving HOPS guidance and they should have their own tutors.

    If you are not receiving HOPS guidance and do not have your own tutor, please follow the instructions in the letter and contact Teija Kujala.

    If you have a teacher tutor, please

    1. enter the information as explained in the letter into the form for your study plan (it is worthwhile to do the study plan on a separate sheet and attach it with the form),
    2. contact your tutor to discuss your study plan and ask for an approval for it, and
    3. after your teacher tutor has taken a photocopy of your form and your study plan deliver the form along with your study plan to the Faculty Office (address: P.O. Box 44).
  3. If you have received the letter for checkpoint 4 or 5, please
    1. fill in the form for your study plan in accordance with the letter (it is worthwhile to do the study plan on a separate sheet and attach it with the form),
    2. contact the special tutor for your sub-programme to discuss your study plan and ask for an approval for it, and
    3. after your special tutor has taken a photocopy of your form and your study plan deliver the form along with your study plan to the Faculty Office (address: P.O. Box 44).
