Seminar: Novel Software Architecture Design : Activities and deadlines
The seminar has the following main phases and deadlines. All deadlines are at 12 noon. The deadlines are strict!
Date | Activity / deadline | Description |
---|---|---|
February 1 | Registration to Moodle |
For some housekeeping, communication and such, please do register to SASMOOTA2017 in Moodle |
February 15 (or March 13 the latest) | Add a link to your writing memo in Moodle. | See details in Moodle, if interested in feedback. |
February 28 | Abstract submission deadline |
Write an abstract (in format, as if for the final paper) of your topic and return it to EasyChair (fill in the title and abstract in the web form text boxes). It is a good idea to start already preparing your paper manuscript by using the IEEE template (remove all comments and instructions from the template). |
March 13 - March 20 | Bidding opens - Bidding closes | Mark your interest to review other's papers (bidding) based on the abstracts. |
March 13 (optional) | Return material for feedback session | See details in Moodle. Session is optional, but returning is compulsory if you intend to participate in the feedback session. |
March 20 (optional) | Return material for feedback session | See details in Moodle. Session is optional, but returning is compulsory if you intend to participate in the feedback session. |
March 27 | Full paper deadline | Return a complete version of your seminar work to EasyChair. The paper must use the IEEE template, and be approximately 6-10 pages. |
Review invitation | Allocation of reviews is done by course staff based on your bidding after all full paper submissions by deadline are known. You will be invited to review the papers allocated to you through EasyChair. | |
April 11 | Review deadline | Read the papers allocated to you and return your evaluation to EasyChair as instructed in the seminar sessions. After this deadline, the course staff will also decide if some papers are rejected. |
April 26 and May 3 | Conference days | Seminar papers are presented. |
May 16 | Optional revision deadline | You have an opportunity to revise your seminar paper on the basis of the reviews from others and discussion at the presentation session. The final grading is done based on the version that is in EasyChair at this deadline. (You may note that this deadline is different than in a typical conference, in which the camera-ready deadline is after the reviews but well before the conference so that the final, revised papers are already available at the conference) |
