Due to technical problems, the first Exercise session is handled a bit differently. The rest of the sessions follow the department standard pattern: you are expected to work out the answers on your own and be able to present your solution at the exercise session.

During the sessions, we will verify the answers together, by cooperating in small groups and assisted by the teacher.

• Exercise session 1: Monday 1.11. or Thursday 4.11.; tasks are given on-site
• Exercise session 2: Monday 8.11. or Thursday 11.11.
• Exercise session 3: Monday 15.11. or Thursday 18.11.
• Exercise session 4: Monday 22.11. or Thursday 25.11.
• Exercise session 5: Monday 29.11. or Thursday 2.12.
• Exercise session 6: Wednesday 8.12. or Thursday 9.12. or Friday 10.12.

In addition to regular exercise sessions, the course includes four (4) homework assignments. The homework assignments will be submitted by e-mail. Task descriptions will be posted here together with their deadlines.

• Home exercise 1: deadline Saturday 20.11. at 18:00 by e-mail
• Home exercise 2: deadline Tuesday 30.11. at 18:00 by e-mail
• Home exercise 3: deadline Saturday 4.12. at 18:00 by e-mail

FAQ

• Sorry, but I'm in a hurry to work/sports/music class/a date. Can I drop by and leave my printed exercises to the lecturer or assistant?

For this course, you can't. The reason is that we got about 20 ppl more than initially planned and decided it would be more fair to take all the students.

As almost all books, even the course book contains errors. For example, the description of NTP used for Exercise 4 omits a crucial term.
