Advanced studies
The massive sequence data produced by modern high-throughput DNA sequencing machines is the primary driver of current molecular biology and genetics. The seminar will cover topics in the reconstruction, comparison, motif finding and probabilistic modeling of biological sequences. The seminar is suitable for students with basic knowledge of algorithms and /or probabilistic modeling and/or bioinformatics (course "Algorithms in Bionformatics"or "Biological Sequence Analysis").
