The members of the faculty are introduced by giving their position, E-mail address, research interests, a sample of recent publications, and recent academic merits.

All E-mail addresses are in the Internet format. In the domain "cs.helsinki.fi" there is a general address format containing the first and the last name of a person separated with a period, for example hannu.erkio@cs.helsinki.fi for Hannu Erkiö (note the necessary transliteration é->e, ä->a and ö->o).

The publication numbers refer to the classified listing of publications.
