Finnish-Russian Cross-Border University, CBU

Finnish-Russian Cross-Border University, CBU, is a joint project of seven Finnish and Russian universities with the goal to offer joint Master's degree programmes in selected study fields. Before the official start of the CBU Master's degree programmes in 2007 several pilot projects are launched.

Information Technology is one of the pilot areas, and it starts offering educational activities within the CBU framework already during the academic year 2005-2006. The first CBU students will study according to a personal study plan, where participation in CBU activities is significant. In Helsinki, during the piloting period any participating student can use CBU credits to augment the requirements for his/her local Master's degree. The language of education is English.
